Piñon Canyon Maneuver Site
The Piñon Canyon Maneuver Site (PCMS) currently is 235,896 acres of land in southwest Colorado. In 2003, the Army claimed that the site needed to be expanded to 6.9 million acres. This would increase the military's total land holdings from the current 28 million acres to nearly 35 million. About 17,000 residents of the area would have their land taken via emminent domain.
